Overview
The Attuned Neurofeedback Mentoring Course (AMC) supports the foundational enhancement of beginning neurofeedback skills along with the integration and advancement of skills for more seasoned providers. AMC is unique in its weekly use of participants' prepared case consultations and spontaneous group questions to define the teaching topics of the week within the comprehensive skill sets listed below. This course starts where you are and stretches with you as you gain greater confidence and capacity in your skills as a neurofeedback provider.
How Is This Course Different?
Your instructors provide a safe and respectful environment where every question has a place, and all experiences as neurofeedback providers are discussed with interest. AMC combines the organic and relevant learning of a case consultation model, with focused teaching of critical clinical neurofeedback skills. The live and dynamic format, along with recorded lectures on a variety of essential clinical skills, offers instruction and guidance to support your growth in becoming a versatile and confident neurofeedback provider.
Through teaching focused skills topics within the context of each participant's consultation time, we find the material more quickly and easily integrated into daily work with clients. Our organic learning environment allows us to introduce learning topics appropriate for each provider’s goals and the group's learning needs. This ‘grow-with-you' structure makes the course suitable to participate in on a one-time basis or for ongoing professional development.
Structure of Course
Our 90-minute, 8-week AMC format requires live group participation. Each participant will be assigned two 30-minute individual case presentation times during the eight weeks. In preparation for scheduled consultation times, participants are required to send case information in advance to their small group. Each group will have one primary teacher with possible presentations by the other instructor.
AMC also includes three prerequisite courses that will provide some foundational knowledge to help you get the most out of your case study presentations and mentoring sessions.
